Pattern Instructions:

Head:

  • Create a magic circle with 6 single crochet (sc).
  • Increase in each stitch around for a total of 12 sc.
  • [1 sc, increase] repeat around for a total of 18 sc.
  • [2 sc, increase] repeat around for a total of 24 sc.
  • Work 4 rounds of 24 sc each.
  • [2 sc, decrease] repeat around for a total of 18 sc.
  • [1 sc, decrease] repeat around for a total of 12 sc.
  • Insert safety eyes (placement: 6 rows down, 5 holes apart with 4 spaces showing).
  • Stuff the head.
  • Perform 6 decreases, a slip stitch, and chain 1. Break off yarn.

Body:

Start with a magic circle of 6 sc.

  • Increase in each stitch around for a total of 12 sc.
  • [1 sc, increase] repeat around for a total of 18 sc.
  • Work 9 rounds of 18 sc each.
  • [1 sc, decrease] repeat around for a total of 12 sc.
  • Stuff the body.
  • Perform 6 decreases, a slip stitch, chain 1, and break off yarn.

Neck:

Chain 11, attach to the first stitch and sc around for a total of 10.

  • Work a second row of 10 sc into the first row.
  • [4 sc, increase] repeat for a total of 12 sc. Slip stitch, chain 1, and break off yarn.

Snout:

  • Put 8 sc in a magic circle.
  • Work 2 more rows of 8 sc each. Slip stitch, chain 1, and break off yarn.

Ears:

  • Start with a magic circle of 5 sc.
  • [1 sc, increase] around for a total of 7 sc.
  • Work a round of 7 sc.
  • Increase in each stitch for a total of 14 sc.
  • Make 7 decreases. Slip stitch, chain 1, and break off yarn.

Feet (make 4):

  • Start with 8 sc in a magic circle.
  • Work another round of 8 sc.
  • Change colors and create 3 more rounds of 8 sc each. Slip stitch, chain 1, break yarn.

Spots (make 5):

  • Create 6 sc in a magic circle.
  • Slip stitch in the first, chain 1, and break yarn.

Horns:

  • Create 6 sc in a magic circle.
  • Work a round of 6 sc.
  • [1 sc, decrease] repeat around for a total of 4 sc.
  • Work a round of 4 sc. Lightly stuff. Slip stitch, chain 1, and break off yarn.

Tail:

  • Attach yarn directly, slip stitch, chain 5 and pull through.
  • Attach scrap pieces of yarn folded in half, pulling through the last stitch on the tail.
