Materials:

  • Baby snuggle yarn (lime green for the frog body, white for the belly plate)
  • Yellow yarn (for sunflower petals)
  • 5.5 mm crochet hook
  • Darning needle

  • Scissors
  • 12 mm safety eyes
  • Fabric pins
  • Fiberfill

Frog Body:

  • Begin with a magic ring and place 8 single crochets (sc) inside it. Pull tight.

Round 2:

  • Perform an increase (= 2 sc in one stitch) in each of the 8 stitches. (16 stitches)

Round 3:

  • sc in one stitch, then increase in the next. Repeat 8 times. (24 stitches)

In Round 4:

  • One sc in each of the 24 stitches around.

Round 5:

  • sc in the next three stitches, then increase. Repeat 6 times. (30 stitches)

Rounds 6-10:

  • One sc in each stitch around for five rounds. (30 stitches each round)

For Round 11:

  • sc in the next three stitches, then an invisible decrease. Repeat 6 times. (24 stitches)

Round 12:

  • One sc in each of the 24 stitches around.
  • Begin to stuff the body slightly with fiberfill.

Round 13:

  • sc in the next two stitches, then an invisible decrease. Repeat 6 times. (18 stitches)

In Round 14:

  • One sc in each of the 18 stitches around.
  • Add more stuffing if needed.

Round 15:

  • Single crochet decrease. Repeat 6 times. (12 stitches)

Round 16:

  • Perform 6 decrease stitches around. (6 stitches)
  • Finalize with a slip stitch, cut the yarn, and weave in the end.

Eyes:

  • Create a magic ring and inside place 6 single crochets.

Round 2:

  • Perform an increase in each stitch. (12 stitches)

Rounds 3-4:

  • One sc in each stitch around. (12 stitches each round)
  • Attach the safety eyes.

Belly Plate:

For Round 4:

Rounds 5-6:

Round 7:

Arms and Legs:
