2-ply wool yarn in white, orange, and yellow
3.0 mm crochet hook
Scissors and yarn needle

Base (White Yarn)

Make a slip knot and chain 6.

Chain 2 (does not count as a stitch).
Make a 4-loop puff stitch in the center circle, chain 2.
Repeat puff stitch and chain 2 until you have 8 puff stitches total.

Chain 1.
In next chain-3 space, work 4 DC, chain 2, 4 DC (shell).
Chain 1 and repeat around the entire flower (8 petals total).
Slip stitch into the 3rd chain of the starting chain 3.

Edging (Yellow Yarn)

Attach yellow yarn to the first stitch of any petal with a single crochet.
Work 1 single crochet in each of the 12 double crochets of the petal.
In the shell section, work 1 single crochet into each of the first 4 double crochets.
