  • 2 mm crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Needle (for weaving in ends)
  • ⅛ inch ribbon

Pattern Instructions:

Start the Bookmark:

  • Chain 4.
  • Perform a double crochet into the first chain to form a small loop. This is the starting loop.

Row 1:

  • Chain 1 and turn your work.
  • Make a single crochet into the space between the chain and the double crochet.

Row 2:

  • Chain 3, turn your work.
  • Double crochet into the single crochet from the previous row.

Repeat Row 1 and Row 2:

  • Continue repeating these rows, alternating between them until you have 17 "holes" or loops formed by the chain spaces.

Final Row:

  • End on a single crochet row.
  • Rotate your work to work along the edge of the rows.
  • In the end spaces, increase the number of single crochets to create a rounded corner and then work back along the edge placing single crochets in each chain space.

Finish:

  • Slip stitch to the first single crochet to join and finish.
  • Cut your yarn and pull through the loop. Weave in your ends using a needle.

Adding Ribbon:

  • Weave a ⅛ inch ribbon through the holes evenly, finishing with a knot or a bow at the top.
