- Yarn: King Cole Double Knitting Splash and solid lilac acrylic
- Hook: 5 mm
- Other: Snippers and darning needle
V-Stitch Hexagon
The V-stitch is: Double Crochet, Chain 1, Double Crochet into the same space

Round 1
- Chain 4
- Slip stitch to first chain to form a circle
- Work 6 V-stitches into center circle, separated by Chain 2
- Join with Chain 1 and slip stitch into the third chain up
- Slip stitch to change colors and carry yarn
Round 2
- Join second color in a Chain 2 space
- Work V-stitch, Chain 2, V-stitch into same space
- Repeat in all Chain 2 spaces for 6 corners total
- Join with slip stitch into top of V-stitch
- Pull up first color to change

For Round 3 and Following
- Slip stitch into corner space
- Work V-stitch, Chain 2, V-stitch
- Work V-stitch into middle of each side
- Repeat around and join with slip stitch
- Continue pattern, changing colors each round for 21 rounds
- Each round adds one extra V-stitch per side
Assembly

You will have two identical hexagons
Seaming the Shoulders and Armholes
- Fold two points of one hexagon together with wrong sides facing up
- Single crochet along edge to top of seam
- Repeat on second hexagon
Joining the Back Seam
- Place both hexagons together with wrong sides facing out
- Decide neck opening
- Single crochet from hem up to neck opening

Edging
- Begin where back seam ended and single crochet around entire cardigan
- Work single crochet evenly, skipping occasionally to prevent flare
- Place two single crochets in V-stitch gaps
- Work one row of single crochet
- Weave in all ends and add a button if desired
