Materials
- Yarn Weight 4 medium
- Hook 5.5mm or 5.75mm
- Scissors and yarn needle
Creating the Hexagon
- Make slip knot and chain 5
- Slip stitch to first chain to form ring
- Chain 3 counts as DC and make 2 DC into ring
- Chain 2 for corner
- Repeat sequence of 3 DC and chain 2 five more times for 6 corners total
- Slip stitch to top of chain 3 to close
- Chain 3 counts as DC and DC in each stitch until chain-2 space
- Work 2 DC chain 2 2 DC in each corner
- Continue DC around with corners increasing each round
- Slip stitch to top of chain 3 at end

Finishing the Hexagons
- After final row of first hexagon chain 1 and cut yarn
- After final row of second hexagon do not cut yarn
Sleeve Extension
- Fold hexagon in half with working yarn at outer edge
- Chain 3 turn and DC across edge
- Repeat DC rows until reaching one row before total of 22 rows
- Chain 3 turn skip next stitch and DC in next stitch
- Repeat skip stitch and DC across
- Chain 1 and keep yarn attached

Assembly
- Lay both halves side-by-side and align top edges
- Slip stitch through both layers across top edge to join first and second panel
- Continue slip stitch across neckline and shoulders

Sleeve Cuff
- Chain 11
- SC in second chain and across
- Slip stitch into next three stitches on sleeve opening
- Turn and SC in BLO back across ten stitches
- Chain 1 turn SC in BLO back
- Repeat attachment and ribbing around sleeve opening
- Slip stitch short ends together
- Chain 1 and cut yarn
Seaming the Back
- Lay cardigan flat with inner edges touching
- Sew center back seam from top to bottom

Finishing
