  • Start: Make a slip knot and chain 70 stitches, plus one more chain for turning.
  • Row 1: Work 63 half double crochets, and then 7 single crochets for the ribbing.
  • Subsequent Rows: Every time you turn, chain one.
  • The pattern alternates between starting with 7 single crochets followed by half double crochets, and starting with half double crochets and ending with 7 single crochets.
