Whether you’re making blankets, scarves, or other accessories, this pattern offers versatility with its repeating four-row sequence. The puff stitches provide a raised, textured effect, while the front post stitches add depth and visual interest. Customize the pattern by adjusting the yarn type or adding color variations to make it your own.

Preparation

  • This project uses a 3.5mm crochet hook.
  • Start by creating a chain of stitches that is a multiple of 4, plus an additional 2 stitches.

Single Crochet

  • Make one chain stitch.
  • Skip the first chain, then single crochet into the second chain from the hook and in each subsequent chain across the row.

  • Repeat this four more times in the same stitch.
  • Yarn over and pull through all 11 loops, then chain one to secure the stitch.
  • Double crochet into the next three stitches.
  • Repeat the puff stitch in the next stitch.
