The combination of Linked Double Crochet for structure and Puff/Granny Stitch for texture adds depth and warmth, making it an ideal gift or a stylish accessory for cold days. You can easily adjust the width or length to create a custom-fit scarf that complements your personal style.

Materials

  • Yarn: Big Twist Hush (Jumbo, Size 5) – Two cakes for a 60-inch scarf
  • Hook: 9 mm crochet hook
  • Alternative: Use two strands of worsted-weight yarn together
  • Foundation: Any odd number of chains + 2 (example uses 17 chains)

Linked Double Crochet (LDC) Section

  • Work first LDC in second chain from hook, then next chain.
  • Yarn over, pull through 2 loops twice.
  • For following LDCs, insert hook into the middle sidebar of the previous stitch, pull up a loop, then into next chain.
