Materials

  • Yarn: Alize or similar weight yarn
  • Hook: 2 mm for glove body, 1 mm for cuff
  • Scissors and tapestry needle

The Glove Body

  • Measure hand around knuckles for size
  • Work Foundation Double Crochet divisible by 3

  • Join with slip stitch to form a circle
  • Row 1 3 DC cluster row Chain 1 Single crochet Chain 2 Work 2 DC in same stitch Skip 2 Work 3 DC in next stitch Repeat around Join
  • Row 2 V stitch row Slip stitch into middle DC of cluster Chain 4 Work DC in same stitch Skip to next cluster and work V stitch Repeat around Join
  • Row 3 Cluster in V space Slip stitch into chain 1 space Chain 3 Work 2 DC in same space Work 3 DC cluster into every V space Repeat around Join
  • Repeat rows 2 and 3 until glove reaches base of thumb

  • On cluster row Work first cluster Chain 7 Skip next V space Work next cluster Continue around
  • On following V stitch row Work V stitches into each cluster Work a V stitch into 4th chain of chain 7 arch Continue around
  • Continue alternating rows until glove reaches desired height

Finishing the Edges

  • Top edge Work 2 rows of single crochet around Fasten off neatly
  • Thumb Join yarn Work single crochet around opening Work 4 to 5 rows Fasten off
  • Cuff Change to smaller hook Join yarn Work front post double crochet and back post double crochet around for ribbing.
  • Work 2 or more rows Optional final row of reverse single crochet for edging Fasten off and weave in ends
