Materials
- Medium (4) weight yarn
- 5mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- Darning or tapestry needle
- Tape measure
- Stitch markers (optional)
Finished Rectangle Dimensions
- Length: 35.5 inches (90 cm)
- Height: 5.5 inches (less than 14 cm)

Crocheting the Ribbed Rectangle
- Create a slip knot and chain until the length measures about 35.5 inches (approximately 120 chains).
- Single crochet (SC) into the second chain from the hook and continue across.

- Chain 1 (does not count as a stitch), turn, and work SC into the back loop only (BLO) across the row.
- Repeat this row until the height of your rectangle measures about 5.5 inches.
- Chain 1, cut the yarn, and leave a long tail (about 1.5–2 feet) for sewing.

Assembly and Shaping the Turban
- Lay the finished rectangle flat and fold it in half lengthwise.
- Place a stitch marker at the center point.
- Open it flat again and crisscross the two short ends over the center.
- Twist the crisscrossed ends once more to form the signature twisted design.
- Flip the piece so the back faces up.
- Align all four layers and secure them with stitch markers.

- Thread the long tail into a needle and sew through all four layers at the center seam.
- Adjust the head opening to ensure a comfortable fit and sew the remaining side gaps closed.
- Weave in all ends and turn the turban right-side out to reveal the twist design.
