Materials
- Three colors of yarn
- 8mm crochet hook
- 5.5mm crochet hook
Starting the First Row
- Use the 8mm hook to chain 10 stitches
- Work the first row into the back loops
- Insert the hook, yarn over, and pull up a loop across all 10 chains
- For the return pass, yarn over and pull through one loop
- Then, yarn over and pull through two loops repeatedly until one loop remains on the hook
Second Row and Repeating Rows
- Insert the hook into the front post, yarn over, and pull up a loop
- Continue this across the row
- For the last two posts, insert the hook, yarn over, and pull through
- For the return pass, yarn over and pull through one loop
- Yarn over and pull through two loops repeatedly
- Repeat until you have completed 8 rows
Changing Colors
- Pick up the new yarn and continue the same stitch pattern
- After 8 rows, chain 1 and cut the yarn
Adding New Sections

Adding a Border
