Materials
- Scissors
- 3.5 mm crochet hook
- Stitch markers (optional)
- Weight 4 yarn in two colors
Creating the Base of the Bag
- Row 1: Start with a magic circle, chain 2, and make 10 half double crochets (HDC) inside the circle.
- Tighten and slip stitch into the top of chain 2.
- Row 2: Chain 2, make 2 HDC in each stitch.
- Slip stitch and chain 2 at the end.
- Row 3: 1 HDC in the first stitch, 2 HDC in the second stitch.

Repeat this increase pattern around. Slip stitch and chain 2.
- Row 4: 1 HDC in the next two stitches, 2 HDC in the third.
- Repeat increasing every third stitch.
- Row 5: Continue pattern, increasing spacing between 2 HDC by one each row.
