Neckline and Upper Body

Chain: Start by making a slip knot and chaining 90, or a multiple of six for a larger size.
- Round 1: Ensure the chain isn't twisted, then slip stitch into the first chain. Chain one, then half double crochet in each chain, placing the stitch at the back of the chain. Slip stitch into the first half double crochet to end the round.
- Round 2: Chain seven, skip two stitches, and single crochet into the third stitch. Repeat this pattern around, then slip stitch into the first chain. Slip stitch three more times.
- Round 3: Single crochet into the fourth chain, chain seven, and single crochet into the fourth chain again. Continue this pattern around.
- Rounds 4-5: Repeat the pattern of chaining seven and single crocheting into the fourth chain. At the end of the fifth round, slip stitch into the single crochet, chain one, and cut the yarn.
Armholes
- Marking: On the back side, count six spaces and place stitch markers to indicate the armhole positions.
- Creating the First Armhole: Attach yarn at the fourth chain of the marked space and chain nine. Attach to the corresponding point on the other side, ensuring it's the fourth chain, and slip stitch. Cut the yarn.
- Repeat: Repeat the process for the other side to create the second armhole.

Body
- Joining: Attach yarn at the fourth chain, but do not cut it. Chain nine.
- Round 1: Turn and single crochet. Chain seven, then single crochet into the fourth chain. Continue this pattern until the next armhole. At the armhole, single crochet, chain seven, and single crochet into the fifth chain. Chain seven and single crochet at the corner where the yarn was attached.
