Crochet Lilly Flower Keychain Free EASY Pattern

The design allows for customization — experiment with different yarn colors or add extra leaves for a fuller, more whimsical look. A lovely, calming project that transforms simple stitches into a timeless keepsake.

Materials

  • Yarn: 3-ply yarn (White for flowers, Green for leaves and stem)
  • Hook: 1.25 mm crochet hook
  • Extras: Keychain ring, Fabric glue (optional), Scissors, Tapestry needle

Crochet Flower

  • Create a slip knot and chain 3. Slip stitch into the first chain to form a ring, or use a magic circle.
  • Chain 1, make 6 single crochet into the circle, join with a slip stitch. (6 SC)
  • Chain 1, 2 single crochet in each stitch around, join with a slip stitch. (12 SC)
  • Chain 1, (2 SC in next stitch, 1 SC in next) repeat around, join with a slip stitch. (18 SC)
  • For Rounds 4–6, chain 1 and make 1 SC in each stitch, joining with a slip stitch each round. (18 SC)
  • Round 7: Chain 1, (1 SC, 1 decrease) repeat around, join with a slip stitch. (12 SC)
  • Round 8 (Petals):
  • In first stitch: 1 SC, 1 HDC, 1 DC.
  • In next stitch: 1 DC, 1 HDC, 1 SC.
  • Repeat around for all stitches.
  • Join with a slip stitch, cut yarn, and secure.
  • Make 4 flowers in your desired colors.

Crochet Leaves

  • Create a slip knot with green yarn and chain 14.
  • Skip the first chain and work across the chain as follows: SS, SC, HDC, DC, TC, 3 DTR, TC, DC, HDC, SC, SS.
  • Chain 1, turn, and work down the opposite side of the foundation chain with the same stitch sequence.
  • Make slip stitches down the center of the leaf to form the midrib.

  • At the end, chain 14 to create a stem.
  • Work a second leaf onto this chain using the same steps, then secure and cut the yarn.

Stem Chains

  • With green yarn, make two chains:
  • One chain of 75 stitches.
  • One chain of 50 stitches.
  • Leave long tails on both ends for assembly.

Assembly

  • Insert one end of a green stem chain through the flower center and tie tightly with the flower yarn tail.
  • Secure the knot and trim excess yarn.
  • Repeat for all flowers along the two stem chains.

  • Attach the leaf piece by threading the stem through the leaf’s center vein.
  • Finish by attaching a keychain ring to the top loop of the stems.
  • Optionally, use fabric glue to secure knots or ends neatly.
