Materials
- Medium number 4 weight cotton yarn

Foundation Setup
- Single crochet in the back bumps of each chain starting from the second chain from the hook

Row 1 Mesh Setup
- Chain 3 and turn
- Work 1 double crochet in the first stitch
- Chain 1, skip 3 stitches, work a V stitch in the next stitch
- Repeat across the row
Panel Marking
- Place a stitch marker in the second V stitch
- Count 6 V stitches and place the next marker
- Count 9 V stitches and place the next marker
- Count 6 V stitches and place the final marker

Increase Rows
- Chain 3 and turn
- Work a double crochet in the first V stitch
- Work V stitches into each chain space
- In every marked V stitch, place a V stitch inside it to increase
- Move markers up to the new V stitches
No Increase Rows
- Chain 3 and turn
- Skip the first V stitch
- Work V stitches only into chain spaces and marked increase points
Repeating the Yoke
- Alternate one no-increase row followed by two increase rows
- Continue until diagonal sleeve shaping is clearly formed

Body Join
- Work V stitches across the first front panel
- Skip the sleeve section
- Join the corner markers with a V stitch to form the armhole
- Repeat for the second sleeve
Body Length
- Work V stitches into chain spaces only
- Alternate starting with chain 3 and chain 4 on turning rows
- Repeat until desired cardigan length is reached
Bottom Border
