Crochet Ruffle Socks

Materials
- Yarn – Worsted weight (e.g., Caron One Pound)
- Hooks – 4.5mm for sock body, 5.5mm for ruffles
- Scissors
- 2 Stitch markers
- Measuring tape
Sock Toe (4.5mm Hook)
- Make a Magic Ring and chain 2 (does not count as a stitch).
- Work 10 double crochets into the ring and slip stitch to join.
- Round 2: Chain 2, 2 double crochets in each stitch around (20 stitches).
- Round 3: Chain 2, 1 double crochet in the first stitch, 2 in the next, repeat around (30 stitches).

Foot (4.5mm Hook)
- Chain 2, double crochet in each stitch around, slip stitch to join.
- Continue working rounds until the piece measures your total foot length minus 3 inches.

Heel Flap (4.5mm Hook)
- Chain 2 and work 16 double crochets across half of the stitches.
- Turn, chain 3, and double crochet across 16 stitches.
- Repeat back and forth until the flap measures 3 inches long.
- Fold the flap in half and join the edges with single crochet through both layers.
- Tie off, cut the yarn, and weave in the end.
- Flip the sock inside out so the seam is on the inside.

Ankle (4.5mm Hook)
- Attach yarn at the heel seam and chain 1.
- Round 1: Work 2 single crochets into the side of each double crochet row, 1 single crochet across the front stitches, and 2 single crochets down the other side. Slip stitch to join.
- Continue working rounds of single crochet until the ankle reaches your desired length (about 6 rows).

Ruffles (5.5mm Hook)
- Switch to the 5.5mm hook.
- Chain 3 (does not count as a stitch).
- Work 5 triple crochets into each stitch around to form ruffle shells.
- Slip stitch to join, tie off, cut the yarn, and weave in the ends.
