Crochet Granny Hexagon Cardigan

Materials
- Yarn weight 3 lightweight yarn (Mandala Baby suggested)
- 6mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- Yarn needle

Crocheting Two Granny Hexagons

Round 1 Center
- Make slip knot, chain 4, slip stitch to form ring
- Chain 3 counting as first DC
- Place 2 DC in center ring
- Chain 1
- Repeat placing 3 DC cluster + ch 1 until you have 6 clusters total
- Slip stitch to top of chain 3 to close round
Round 2 Corners
- Chain 3 and turn work
- Mark top of ch 3
- Place 2 DC in same space (half corner)
- Skip next 3 sts
- Work corner cluster in next space 3 DC ch 2 3 DC
- Repeat corner cluster in remaining chain spaces without chaining between
- Finish by placing 3 DC in starting space to complete corner
- Join with HDC in top of chain 3 for a neat finish

Increase Rounds
- Chain 3 turn work mark stitch
- Place 2 DC in same space (half corner)
- Work 3 DC cluster in next space as side cluster
- In corner spaces work 3 DC ch 2 3 DC
- Continue around with side clusters between corners
- End round by completing corner and join with HDC in top of ch 3
- Continue repeating increase rounds until one side measures desired sleeve width
- Make second identical hexagon
Part 2 Assembly

Back Panel Extensions
- Attach yarn to straight side chain two corner of one hexagon
- Row 1 Ch 3 1 DC cluster across spaces ending with 2 DC in last space
- Row 2 Ch 3 turn skip first space work 3 DC clusters across end with 1 DC in top of chain
- Row 3 Ch 3 turn 1 DC next to ch 3 cluster across end with 1 DC in top of chain
- Repeat rows 2 and 3 until extension equals half needed back width
- Repeat on second hexagon
Join Back Panels
- Leave long tail
- Place right sides facing up and mattress stitch both back extensions together
Seam Sleeves
- Fold both hexagons in half to form L shape
- Seam sleeve edges using inner loops only for neat finish

Add Length to Sleeves
- Attach yarn at underarm gap
- Ch 3 2 DC same space cluster around and join
- Repeat rounds turning every row continue until sleeve length desired
Extend Cardigan Body
- Attach yarn at bottom front corner
- Work foundation row of clusters across entire opening keeping symmetry
- Continue using same alternating row pattern as back extension until desired length
Optional Edging
- Work rounds of HDC around opening and neckline
- Finish with one clean round of SC
