Crochet Zip Up Jacket

Materials
- Yarn Forest from Durable Yarn size 3 Sport or DK weight approximately 9.5 skeins for extra small
- Crochet hook 3.0 mm
- Tape measure
- Stitch markers
- Scissors
- Zipper
Back Panel
- Measure shoulder to shoulder and add 4 inches then chain an odd number of stitches to reach this width
- Skip the first chain and work one single crochet in every chain across
- Chain 1 turn and work single crochet in the first two stitches
- Work one extended half double crochet backwards into the stitch below from the first row

- Skip one stitch then work one single crochet in the next stitch
- Work one extended half double crochet into the row below the skipped stitch
- Repeat the stitch pattern across and end with one single crochet in the last stitch
- Repeat this pattern for each row placing extended half double crochets between the previous row stitches
- Continue until the panel reaches the desired length minus 2.5 inches for bottom ribbing

Front Panels Make 2
- Use the back panel chain count minus 5 then divide by 2 for the foundation chain
- Work straight using the same stitch pattern as the back panel
- Stop when the panel is 4.5 inches shorter than the total desired length
- Begin neckline shaping on the center zipper side
- To decrease at the end of a row work until three stitches remain then single crochet the last two stitches together
- To decrease at the start of a row chain 1 skip the first stitch and single crochet in the next two stitches
- Continue decreasing for 2.5 inches
- Work straight without decreases for the final 2 inches

Sleeves Make 2
- Measure the widest part of the arm and add 2 inches then chain to this length
- Work the same stitch pattern as the body
- Reduce stitches at both edges every 3.5 inches
- Repeat the reductions a total of four times while working toward the wrist

Assembly and Finishing
- Sew the front panels to the back panel at the shoulders
