  • Ribbon for ties
  • Polyfill stuffing for the 3D eyes

Making the Pattern:

Sleep Mask (in lime color):

  1. Chain 6, start from the second chain and do 2 sc in first stitch; 1 sc in each of the next chains, then turn.
  2. Perform single crochet increases at the start and end of each row from rows two to six.
  3. Work even with 1 sc in each stitch for rows seven to fourteen.
  4. Decrease at the beginning and end of rows fifteen to seventeen.
  5. Work even again for rows eighteen to twenty.
  6. Increase in rows twenty-one to twenty-three and work even until row thirty-one.
  7. Finish with a decrease in rows thirty-two to thirty-five.
  8. Crochet around the edge of the sleep mask and weave in the ends.

Eyes (make 2 in white yarn):

  1. Start with a magic circle and insert 6 sc, then close the circle.
  2. Double the stitches for the next row.
  3. Alternate between one sc and an increase in the next stitch for the third row.
  4. Work even on rows four to five.

Pupils (make 2 in black yarn):

  1. Create a magic ring and follow the same initial steps as the eyeballs.

Attach the pupils onto the eyeballs and embroider a small reflection line for a lively touch.

Eyelids (make 4 in lime yarn):

  1. Chain 8, starting from the second chain, do 1 sc in each chain and turn.
  2. Three sc in the first stitch, 1 sc in each until the last two stitches, then 3 sc in the last stitch, turn.
  3. Two sc in the first stitch, 1 sc in all until the last two stitches, then 2 sc in the last stitch, turn.

Finally, sew the stuffed eyeballs onto the sleep mask, add the eyelids, and then secure a ribbon or crocheted strap to keep the mask in place. Adjust the amount of stuffing to your preference to create the desired 3D effect. Enjoy your playful and comfy sleep mask!
