Materials:

  • Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran in Light Caramel, Paper White, Buttercup Yellow, and Pillar Red
  • Crochet hook size G (4.00mm) and E (3.50mm)
  • Yarn Needle
  • Stitch marker

  • mr: magic ring
  • sc: single crochet
  • inc: increase (2 sc in the next stitch)
  • dec: decrease (sc 2 together)
  • BLO: back loop only
  • dc: double crochet
  • sl st: slip stitch
  • ch: chain
  • Inv dec: invisible decrease

Making Process:

Tart Crust:

  1. Begin with Light Caramel yarn and hook G, create an adjustable ring and ch 1. Work in rounds as follows:
  • R1: 6 sc into mr (6)
  • R2: Inc in each st (12)
  • R3: [Sc, Inc] 6 times (18)
  • R4: [2 sc, Inc] 6 times (24)
  • R5: 1 sc, Inc, [3 sc, Inc] 4 times , 2 sc (30)
  • R6: Sc in each st in BLO (30)
  • R7-8: Sc in each st (30)
  • Finish with a sl st in the first sc, fasten off, and weave in ends.

Tart Filling:

  1. Switch to Paper White yarn and hook G, form an adjustable ring, and chain 1. Continue in rounds:
    • R1-R5: Repeat the same steps as for the Tart Crust.
    • R6: Sc in each st (30)
    • R7: 1 sc, Inc, [3 sc, Inc] 4 times, 2 sc (35)
    • R8: [2 sc, dec] 6 times (24)
    • R9: [Sc, dec] 6 times (18)
    • R10: Dec 6 times (6)
    • Close the hole by threading the end through the front loop of each st around, and weave in ends.

Pineapple Ring:

  1. With Buttercup Yellow yarn and hook G, make an adjustable ring, ch 1 ensuring a long 8-inch tail.
    • R1: Work 35 dc into mr, invisibly fasten off, and weave in ends.

Cherry (make 2):

  1. Using Pillar Red yarn and hook E, create an adjustable ring, ch 1, leaving a 6-inch starting tail.
  • R1: 6 sc in mr (6)
  • R2: Inc in each st (12)
