  • 4 mm crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • Crochet thread (e.g., Red Heart Super Saver)

Creating the Flower Petals

  • Create a slip knot.
  • Chain 3 and slip stitch into the first chain to form a ring.

First Round

  • Chain 3 (counts as an extended half double crochet).
  • Make 11 extended half double crochets into the ring.

Second Round – Creating Petals

  • For each petal:
  • Chain 4, hold the 4th chain, then chain 1 more.
  • Single crochet into the held chain (4th).
  • Half double crochet in the next space.
  • Extended half double crochet in the next space.
  • Double crochet in the next space.
  • Slip stitch into the next space.
  • Repeat for 6 petals.

Connecting the Petals

Creating Arches

  • Attach yarn to the top of any petal.
  • Chain 8, slip stitch to the top of the next petal.
  • Repeat around to join all petals with chain arches.

Second Round of Base

  • Repeat turning point increases where needed.
  • Slip stitch to the starting chain.

  • Make 2 identical pieces.

Adding Straps
