Materials
- Daiso Acrylic Yarn (White Acrylic 100%)
- 8mm crochet hook
- Stitch marker, needle, tapestry needle
Create the Base Edging
- Make a slipknot and chain 7. This should measure about 6cm.
- Chain 1 and work single crochet into the back bump of each chain starting from the second chain from the hook.

- Chain 1 and turn for the next row.
- Work single crochet in the back loop only for each stitch except the last stitch.
- Work a regular single crochet into the last stitch.
- Repeat these rows until the edging reaches your desired width.
- Keep the total number of rows even.
- Example width for the front panel is 54 rows and for the back panel is 48 rows.

Add the Body Pattern Stitch
- Chain 1 and turn your work to crochet along the long edge of the ribbed section.
- Work single crochet evenly across the entire side.
- Chain 1 loosely and turn.

- Work 1 half double crochet into the first stitch.
- Skip 1 stitch and work 2 half double crochet into the next stitch.
- Repeat skip 1 stitch and 2 half double crochet across the row.
- End the row with 1 half double crochet in the last stitch.
- For the next rows chain 1 loosely and turn.
- Work 1 half double crochet in the first stitch.
Skip 1 stitch and work 2 half double crochet into the center of the previous row’s cluster.

- Repeat this row until you reach the desired length.
- Example length is 53 rows for a total length of about 59cm.
- Finish with a final row of single crochet across the entire row.
- Cut the yarn and leave a long tail for sewing.

Assemble the Vest
- Decide the right side of each panel.
- Place both panels together with right sides facing inward.
- Use markers to leave space for the neckline.
- Sew from the outer edge toward the neckline marker for each shoulder.
- Secure the yarn end.
- Use markers to measure the armhole depth along the sides.
- Sew the side seams upward from the bottom until reaching the marker.
- Secure the yarn ends.
- Turn the vest right side out and the vest is finished.
