Materials
- Butterfly Zuri yarn, 4-ply (double-stranding recommended). Medium-weight yarn can also be used.
- Crochet Hook: 3.25 mm (3.5 mm or 4.0 mm hook can also be used).
- Scissors.
- Stitch Markers.
Starting with a Magic Circle
- Leave a long loose end and secure it between your ring and pinky fingers.
- Pass the working yarn over your three other fingers to form an "X."
- Secure the yarn with your pinky and ring finger, and hold it with your thumb.
- Pass your crochet hook through the first loop, grab the second loop, turn the hook, grab the working yarn, and pull it through the space to create the magic circle.

- Chain three (this counts as your first double crochet).
First Row
- Work two more double crochets into the magic circle.
- Chain three.
- Work three more double crochets into the magic circle.
- Pull the loose end of the magic circle to close it. This completes your first row, forming a triangular shape.
Subsequent Rows (Granny Stitch Pattern)
- Starting a New Row: Chain three and turn your work.
- First Cluster: In the very first stitch, work two more double crochets to create a cluster of three (the initial chain three counts as one).

- Moving Between Spaces: Chain one to move to the next space.
- Corner Space: When you reach a corner space (the chain-three space from the previous row), you will do an increase:
- Work three double crochets.
- Chain three.
- Work three more double crochets in the same corner space.
- Regular Spaces: In other spaces, work three double crochets.
- End of Row: On the very last stitch of the row, work three double crochets.
- Repeat this pattern until you achieve your desired size.
Changing Colors
- Cut the current yarn.
- Grab the new color yarn with your crochet hook and pass it through the loop.
- Pull the cut yarn to tighten the new yarn.
- Continue working the pattern as before, starting with chain three and turning your work.

Joining Panels
- Once you have crocheted two panels (front and back), secure them together with stitch markers.
- Leave a space for the neck opening.
- Ensure the wrong side of the work is facing outwards.
- Join the panels using single crochets from one end to the neck opening, and from the other side of the neck opening to the other end.
- Work two single crochets in each space. At end points, you can do three single crochets.
Neck Ribbing
- First Row: Do double crochets all around the neck opening. Close the row with a slip stitch.

Subsequent Rows (Ribbing):
- Chain two.
- Alternate between front post double crochet and back post double crochet.
- Continue for about three to four rows, or more, depending on your desired neck size. The creator did seven rows.
Finishing
- Turn your work inside out so the wrong side is inside and the right side is outside.

- The piece is now complete.
