Final Row

- Work one Half Double Crochet across every stitch to make a clean edge.

Assembly and Seaming
- Lay the rectangle flat and fold it so the short edges meet.
- Keep the right side of the fabric facing inward when folding.
- Measure about 14.5 cm down from the folded top corner and place a marker to mark the armhole.
Sew from the corner down to the marker using your preferred seaming method.

- Secure the seam well before fastening off.
- Repeat the same process on the other side to form the second armhole.
Sleeves or Cuffs
- Turn the cardigan right side out.
- Join yarn at the bottom of the armhole seam.

- Chain 3 and work Double Crochets evenly around using about three stitches for every two rows.
- Make sure the final stitch count around the armhole is even and slip stitch to join.
- Chain 1 and work one Front Post Double Crochet then one Back Post Double Crochet around to form ribbing.
- Repeat the ribbing round until you reach the desired cuff length such as four rounds.

- Fasten off and weave in ends.
Body Edging
- Join yarn anywhere along the opening of the cardigan.
- Chain 3 and work Double Crochets evenly around the entire border including the bottom edge front edges and neckline.
- Slip stitch to join the round.
- Work alternating Front Post and Back Post Double Crochet around to create ribbing.
- Continue ribbing rounds until your collar or edging reaches your desired width.
