Crochet Star Sweater

Materials
- Weight 4 acrylic yarn
- 5.25mm crochet hook
- Stitch markers
- Yarn needle
Star Panel
- Make two identical panels
- Form a circle using chain 5 and slip stitch to join or begin with a magic ring
- Chain 3 and work 19 double crochets into the center for 20 total stitches, slip stitch to close
- Begin increasing to form five star points
- Work each point as 3 double crochet, chain 2, 3 double crochet into point space with skipped stitches between points
- Continue repeating rows, increasing the number of double crochet stitches between points by 2 every row
- Make approximately 13 rows for size small, 14 for medium, 15 for large, and 16 for extra large

Optional Width
- Add width without length by working only the top four points
- Attach yarn at a point next to the bottom and work around the top four points only
- Work clusters normally and double crochet in the two inner corner stitches
- Chain 1 and cut yarn at opposite side
- Repeat for more width if needed

Shoulder and Neckline
- Mark a 7 to 9 inch gap at the top of panel
