Perfect for crochet fans at any skill level, these tiny socks pack a punch of cheer, making them fabulous for gifts, decorations, or jazzing up your keys and bags.

Crochet Mini Christmas Xmas Socks Keychain

Materials Needed:

  • Green and red yarn
  • Crochet hook
  • Keychain (optional)
  • Snowflakes for decoration (optional)

Crochet Pattern:

Row 1:

  • Start with green yarn.
  • Make 15 double crochets (dc) in a magic ring.
  • Begin with a slip stitch in the ring.
  • Chain 2.
  • To make a double crochet: Yarn over, insert the hook into the ring, yarn over again and pull through, yarn over and pull through two loops on the hook, then yarn over and pull through the remaining two loops.
  • After completing 15 dcs, tighten the magic ring and join with a slip stitch to the first stitch.

Row 2:

  • Chain 1.
  • Make 15 single crochets (sc) around.
  • Insert the hook into the top of the first row, yarn over, pull through, yarn over again, and pull through the two loops on the hook.
  • Join with a slip stitch to the first stitch.

Change to Red Yarn

Row 3:

  • Chain 1.
  • Pattern: Make 4 single crochets, then 1 increase (2 sc in the same stitch), and repeat this pattern three times.

Row 4 to Row 12:

  • Make 1 single crochet in each stitch, total of 18 single crochets.
  • Chain 1 before starting each new row.

Change back to Green Yarn

Row 13:

  • Follow this pattern:
  • Start with 1 single crochet.
  • 1 half-double crochet.
  • Double crochet in the next two stitches.
  • Double crochet increase in the next stitch (2 double crochets in the same stitch).
  • Continue with 2 double crochets.
  • 1 half-double crochet.
  • 1 single crochet in the last stitch.
  • Turn the work to crochet symmetrically with the previous row.

Row 14:

  • Begin with making a decrease across the next two stitches (yarn over, insert the hook, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through two loops on the hook, repeat with the next stitch, and then yarn over and pull through all loops on the hook).

Change back to Red Yarn

Row 15:

  • Make 1 single crochet in each of the stitches, totaling 18 single crochets.
  • Hide the yarn ends as you go by crocheting over them.

Row 16 to 20:

  • Continue with 1 single crochet in each stitch across.

Change to White Yarn

Row 21 to 25:

  • Continue with 1 single crochet in each stitch across.
  • After Row 25, chain 1, cut the yarn, and secure it.

Finishing Touches:

  • Flip down the white part at the top to create a cuff.
  • Decorate with snowflakes if desired.
  • Add a keychain to the top of the sock for hanging.
